Get the add-in

Office add-ins install from a small manifest file, and ours is linked to a specific mediabank — so each WIPS site provides its own ready-to-install manifest. Open your WIPS site under Settings → Integrations to get the manifest for your mediabank, then follow the steps below.

Requirements

  • A Microsoft 365 account
  • PowerPoint or Word — on the web, or a Microsoft 365 desktop version that supports web add-ins
  • A WIPS mediabank and its manifest from Settings → Integrations on your WIPS site
  • For org-wide rollout: access to the Microsoft 365 admin center

Installation

  1. Org-wide (recommended): in the Microsoft 365 admin center, open Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps and provide your manifest. The add-in appears for everyone you assign it to.
  2. Single user (testing): in PowerPoint or Word on the web, open Insert → Add-ins → Upload My Add-in and upload the manifest file.
  3. Open the WIPS → Mediabank button on the Home tab to start browsing.
  4. Insert images straight into the slide or document. Sign in from the task pane when you need full-resolution versions.
